Dance Class Descriptions

At Ann Freeman Dance Academy, we offer (3) three tracks of classes to suit a variety of students:

#1 Our "Traditional Track" begins with the youngest dancer at age three and continues through our ever-popular Adult classes. Dance is for everyone; everyone can find the right class here at AFDA!

#2 Our "Performance" track is our dance track for students who, although not interested in the time and money required for competitive dance, do want to perform more than once per year in the spring show. Students in this track will take their regular classes and perform with those classes in our Spring show. They will also perform with us in the holiday parades, have the option to perform in our Nutcracker, learn a special dance for our Winter Spectacular, participate in a local competition, and perform in the community at various events.

Information on how to join this track will be sent out in the first 2 weeks of the year, along with all the information needed.

#3 Our "Company" track is our dance track for students who want more intensive dance training or who wish to pursue a future in professional or college dance. The Company teams have special requirements and performance opportunities that help the students move toward a pre-professional level of dance as they progress through the various dance skills.

#4 We offer "private lessons" for all of our families who feel their child needs some extra help or who has missed due to extended illness.
For "Company" members, private lessons offers an opportunity to perform a solo in competition.
